John Hatch, PhD

Dr. Hatch has over 25 years of experience in transfer pricing, as well as business valuation in various tax contexts.  Dr. Hatch’s areas of expertise include documentation, Advance Pricing Agreements, the implementation and defense of cost sharing arrangements, and intellectual property valuation.  In addition to traditional transfer pricing analysis, Dr. Hatch has performed various types of valuations for multinational corporations, including enterprise valuations, the valuation of non-compete agreements, and the valuation of put and call options connected to joint venture agreements.

 

Dr. Hatch has experience working in the biotechnology, banking, oil and gas, medical devices, pharmaceutical, primary metals, telecommunications, and software industries.  Dr. Hatch has over twenty published articles related to transfer pricing and business valuation, and served as an expert witness for the U.S. Tax Court in Veritas Software Corporation & Subsidiaries, Symantec Corporation (Successor in Interest to Veritas Software Corporation & Subsidiaries) v. Commissioner.
